Admissions

Admission to Our Lady of Victory School is offered to qualified applicants whose needs can be met by our school and programs. Admission is granted to qualified applicants in the following order: siblings, parishioners of Our Lady of Victory Parish, other Catholic non-parishioners, and non-Catholics.

Kindergarten Prep (Pre-K) and Kindergarten Admissions

Both Kindergarten Prep (Pre-K 4 year old) and Kindergarten are all day programs with after school program (Project Love) availability. In order to be considered for admission into Our Lady of Victory's Kindergarten Prep and/or Kindergarten program, the following conditions must be met:

  • Child must be 4 years of age for Kindergarten Prep or 5 years of age for Kindergarten on or before December 31 of the enrollment year.
  • Complete the Admissions Application and submit with the following:
    • Copy of Birth Certificate
    • $25 Non-refundable Application Fee
  • Child Screening (Kindergarten Only)

Kindergarten Screening Process
All children are screened to determine readiness for our Kindergarten program. The Kindergarten teacher, Principal, or a primary teacher conducts the screening of children. The screening process takes place in a friendly play atmosphere. Parents meet with the Principal and the school nurse on the same day of their child's screening. Screening information is interpretive and is for school use only. The school shares with the parent(s)/guardian(s) a general overview of the screening (NOT A SCORE).

First Grade Admissions

In order to be considered for admission into Grade 1 when transferring from another school, the following conditions must be met:

  • Child must have successfully completed a year of Kindergarten and be 6 years of age on or before December 31 of the enrollment year.
  • Complete the Admissions Application and submit with the following:
    • Copy of Birth Certificate
    • $25 Non-refundable Application Fee
  • Child Screening

First Grade Screening Process
Readiness for First Grade screening is conducted by a primary teacher or the Principal. Parents also meet with the Principal. Screening information is interpretive and is for school use only. The school shares with the parent(s)/guardian(s) a general overview of the screening (NOT A SCORE).

Grade 2 - 8 Admissions

Students transferring from other schools into Grades 2-8 must meet the following conditions before an interview can be scheduled:

  • Complete the Admissions Application and submit with the following:
    • Copy of Birth Certificate
    • $25 Non-refundable Application Fee
  • Copy of Current AND Previous Years' Report Cards
  • Transfer Student Recommendation Form completed by Current School's Primary Teacher (Grades 6-8 must be completed by a Math or English Teacher)
  • Copies of any Special Education Records, such as the most recent Individual Educational Plan (IEP), 504 Records, Tri-annual Review Summary Sheet, and minutes from the last Planning Placement Team (if applicable).

Upon receipt of all applicable materials, the main office will schedule an informational interview. If the school can meet the needs of your child, he/she will be accepted.
